Why Paid Ads Don't Work?

Why paid ads don't workIf you are a freelancer, coach, consultant, content creator, agency owner, or service provider; if you have a premium offer to sell…

You probably struggle with paid ads. I faced this problem myself and experienced how it feels to pour $ into ads that don’t bring results.

Now with the latest iOS 14 update, it’s even harder to promote yourself and bring new clients.

I discovered 3 main problems that make ads unproductive.

  1. It’s hard to filter your audience

This one has to be the major problem with ads that don’t bring enough ROI. Because when you spend money on people that are NOT interested in what you have to offer, you are losing money.

Simple as that.

Your role is not to convince people that don’t want your product or service, your role is to find those looking for them.

So when you have a hard time filtering your audience, ads do not bring profit. And iOS 14 doesn’t make filtering easier.

You could use retargeting on Facebook as much as possible, but that could be tricky if your audience is not big enough.

A simple way of filtering prospects would be to create informative pieces of content and target the audience that engaged with your content. You can create a lookalike audience based on the audience that visited your Facebook pages or videos.

  1. People respond better to value upfront

People are bombarded with ads nowadays. They’re on TV, Facebook, YouTube, everywhere you look.

That creates a negative response towards ads in general.

You hate seeing them as well. I hate them.

That’s why bombarding people with ads doesn’t work anymore. It’s no longer an efficient way of marketing. It only works for companies with marketing budgets in the six figures.

You need to find a way to provide value upfront. Give your audience a lot of value and help them solve a problem regarding your niche. It could be small or big, it doesn’t matter.

Don’t be afraid to show your expertise for free, that won’t make you less valuable to the marketplace, quite the contrary.

Providing value could mean writing social media posts, blog posts, videos, podcasts, or webinars.

The value could be free or cheap to access, the effect will be the same.

Now let’s move to the last problem of paid ads.

  1. You need to be an authority first

People are more inclined to purchase the products or services from businesses they know and trust. If your company is unfamiliar to them, it will be hard to convince them to buy from you.

Providing value upfront is a good way to establish authority because you are proving your expertise and knowledge. You establish yourself as an expert in that area and therefore gain authority.

Without this authority, people will not trust you and your offers. And that puts you at a disadvantage because there is certainly at least one competitor with authority.

Creating authority is tricky unless you write a book.

What if I told you there’s a solution for all 3 problems? I don’t mean individual solutions, I mean one to rule them all.

I’m a ghostwriter with over a decade of experience and I discovered a great lead generation system that overcomes all the problems mentioned.

The secret revolves around using a book as a lead generation system.

This marketing system helps you:

  1. Filter your target audience so you only get in touch with hot leads, people with a desire to buy from you.

  2. Offer value upfront. The book will provide a lot of value upfront to your target audience.

  3. Build authority. Nothing establishes you as an authority in your field as a book published on the subject.

And the best part of this system? It runs on autopilot and even at zero costs once you start it.

Wouldn't it be awesome to have a way of bringing qualified prospects to your business on autopilot?

Not with 10 marketing funnels, 5 webinars, and 100 pieces of content.

Not with endless social media hustling.

One book.

One marketing system.

One funnel to bring a flood of hot leads.

I detail this system in my book 1 Book To 10X Your Business.
